Finishing both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Education Major in Guidance from the premier University of the Philippines, Ms. Elgie A. Ocampo-Madla is holding both PRC professional licenses as Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC) having been a school counselor for 13 years in the tertiary level (UP Manila) and 5 years in the secondary level (Holy Family Academy, Angeles City), and Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) having taught in preschool and elementary for a decade.

She is currently a Guidance Services Specialist at the Office of Student Affairs, University of the Philippines Manila. One of her specializations as counselor is to do marriage counseling.

Her interests include topics on mental health, ethics, religion, and/or philo-psycho realm.

She loves to read stories to young children, teach kids how to read and write, while sharing life in general to the adults.

She has deep passion in making life worth living, likes to cook for her family, and getting in touch with new and old friends.

Mary Liza M. Bonifacio-Balendo

Mary Liza M. Bonifacio- Balendo is a licensed teacher and a registered guidance counsellor. She has been in the academe since 1998 where she taught college and elementary students and was a guidance services specialist to university students.

She has been working in Indonesia since 2009.

She completed her master’s degree in Guidance at the University of the Philippines Diliman and had been a Guidance Services Specialist in University of the Philippines Manila.

She has also been an Extended Essay Coordinator and a Guidance Counselor to elementary and Grade 7- 12 students in an intercultural school in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Currently, she is an IBDP Psychology HL/SL teacher, the Activities Coordinator in Jakarta, Indonesia.

On the personal side, she is married and have 2 children who are in their teenage years. She considers herself an advocate for mental health.

Louela R. Lacsamana

Mental Health Professional

Ms. Louela R. Lacsamana is a registered Guidance Counselor and works as Guidance Counselor at De LaSalle University, Dasmarinas Campus in Cavite for more than 20 years.

She is a certified level 1 facilitator of the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She had her intensive training for MBCT under the program of The Centre for Mindfulness—Toronto, and FriendlyCare Inc. Philippines. She spearheaded the Mindfulness program of their university and facilitated several sessions with students, faculty members, and other participants.

She is a master’s degree holder in education major in Guidance at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Campus and obtained a bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa Manila.

Lorena M. Galang

Mental Health Professional

Ma. Lorena M. Galang is a registered Guidance Counselor and presently a Guidance Counselor at San Beda University, Manila for almost 13 years now.

She is a Psychology professor for three years and with a total of 15 years work experience in the guidance profession.

She completed her academic units in Masters of Arts in Education Major in Guidance at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Quezon City and finished MS in Guidance and Counseling at Centro Escolar University, Manila. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa. Manila.

She is married and a proud parent to three children who are all academic achievers.

Maria Victoria Flores

Maria Victoria Flores is a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines and currently a grade-school teacher in government school in Canada. She teaches grades 4 and 5 students. As a teacher in the first world country, she patiently understand students culture in imparting English language the way it needs to be learned and used.

She also worked as Guidance Counsellor in public highschool for eleven years and two years in private college school in the Philippines.

She is a graduate of Master of Arts in Education major in Guidance at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Quezon City.
